....we are looking forward to next weekend and more sunny days....
2. she is SO loving! Below is her favorite baby doll and she gives her kisses all the time. It often looks like CPR, but really, its kisses...and LOTS of them! And she gives mommy kisses all the time too and they are the yummiest kisses. Sometimes when daddy asks for a kiss she crawls over to mommy and gives me a kiss instead! :)
3. ella loves to play at the top of the stairs! Of course we put a baby gate at the top, but once again, that is her favorite place to play. The worst thing is that she loves to stand at the top and shake the gate as hard as she can. I feel like I need a gate to keep her away from the gate...
4. ella loves music and is perfecting her own little way of dancing. As soon as I turn the music on, her body starts moving... Early on she would just rock back and forth, but within the past week she has started twising from side to side. It's a little hard to tell in the pictures but I caught her in action below!
5. she's doing great with finger food! Tonight she had green beans and mango and didn't stop eating until every single bite was gone! I still have some homemade baby food that I'm trying to finish up, but otherwise ella is 100% on finger food. Kiwi is one of her new favorites! (She has 3 teeth...2 top and 1 bottom)
6. she is a mama's girl! "mama" is really the only word we hear (besides lots of babbling), but I hear it all the time and mostly when she's upset, tired, or hungry! She wants to be with me all the time or at least know where I am and stay very close. But, she does great with Michael too, and even better if I'm not around. This weekend the two of them got to spend some quality time together while I went to a wedding with a girlfriend.
7. she's starting to throw little fits. In our living room, once again, her favorite thing to play with are the glass doors on our TV stand. She wants to sit there in front of them banging them open and closed, then pulling up on them, etc. This is the first thing we are really trying to tell her "no" for and trying to keep her away. This weekend she has started getting mad, arching her back, etc. when I take something from her and/or tell her no and then move her away. Or, she just laughs and acts silly when I say "no". Stinker! She's very strong-willed and stubborn too....it's just more personality shining through! I do love her determination! :)
8. on the opposite spectrum of throwing fits, ella has a cute little laugh that she has started doing quite often. It sounds like a fake laugh but she does it when she gets excited and/or when she hears others laugh. She'll join right in on the conversation. You can hear it on the most recent video I posted!
I can't say enough how much fun we are having! We're blessed with a happy girl who is full of smiles, laughs, and kisses and she brings that to us every single day!
It's tax season, so we're learning how to balance it all but so far so good. We're already in March, and April 15 is right around the corner!
This picture below cracks me up the way Ella is sitting next to Michael with her hand on his leg...it looks like she is "claiming" her daddy.
And, some fun times with mommy....
