Good Friday!

April 18, 2014

It was a GOOD friday indeed!  Daddy was FINALLY home with us all day after a rough tax season, the five of us spent the entire day outside doing tons of yard work together as a family, and we ended the evening with pizza in the back of daddy's truck and playing basketball with family on the boys' new goal.  It was a perfect day!

The Bears - i9 Soccer, Spring 2014

April 12, 2014

This is Easton's second soccer season!  He started out strong with the first game but he is still young to be playing just yet.  His participation is hit or miss but when he does play it's so fun to watch!  And even though he's young, I know he's still learning a lot and having fun!

Peter & the Wolf, Kindergarten Music Performance

Despite Ella's more shy personality, she loves to participate in performances and get a chance to be on "stage".  She even got a special little part in her recent music performance at school where she got to stand front and center to play a pretend violin.  :)  We love her enthusiasm for all things school-related!

Ella's FIRST EVER soccer game!

March 30, 2014

Ella has been ready to start soccer for a few months now and this Spring, it was finally time!  Daddy couldn't coach both kids during tax season and Easton's team was less of a time commitment during his busiest time of the year, so she has the next best thing...Uncle Blake as her coach with Addie as her favorite teammate! :)  It is the perfect arrangement for her first introduction to team sports.   She did so great at her first game and as soon as we got in the car she said, "Mommy that was fun!!"  She loves going to practice, loved her first game and has had the best time thus far.  I am so proud of her and look forward to this first soccer season!

^^  Their 6 year old friendship is pretty special.  I love how Addie is putting bunny ears on Ella. ^^

We were so incredibly thankful to ALL of the family for coming out to watch Ella at her first game.  She had a big crowd and their support means the world.

Bluebonnets!

March 29, 2014

After a family dinner out and ice cream after, the kids were in great moods at 7:30/8pm just as the sun was going down.  So we ignored bedtime for a bit, did a quick change of clothes and snapped our annual bluebonnet pics.  Some across the street in our neighbors front yard and some more in our very own backyard.

This last picture is my absolute favorite and is already printed and framed in my house.  It is such a wonderful depiction of each of my kids as they are right now at the ages of almost 1, almost 4, and almost 6!  Easton is being silly and not listening.  Asher is on the go and getting into something.  Ella is being great and trying to help keep everyone in their place.  The three little people that I love more than anything!!!

11 happy months.

March 24, 2014

HAPPY is a great way to describe Asher.  He is so much fun!

He officially started walking last month and now he has taken off and is walking all the time!  He can't stand up in the middle of the room but regularly pulls himself up and then walks from there.   When he falls, he quickly crawls to the next thing he can pull up on.  He is walking all the way across rooms and into another, even turning around and still keeping his balance.

He waves and says bye bye.

On average he sleeps 7pm - 6am but went through a long period this month of waking at 5/5:30am every day.  I think it was related to teething and/or sickness.   :(

He has 6 teeth and eats everything!  People are always commenting on how much he eats.

Not yet 1

April 1, 2014

Dear Asher,

You are not yet one.  But you are ALMOST one and that thought crosses my mind several times a day lately.  I am very aware of the sweet baby you are today and how quickly you are growing up and will continue to quickly grow right before my eyes.  I love you with every ounce of my being.  I take in your smell, your soft skin, your chubby legs, your drooly face, every little bit about you each and every day.   This age right now has to be one of my favorites in so many ways.  It’s also a difficult age as you are so incredibly mobile and you just want down all the time and to walk walk walk.  But when we are home, it’s much easier and I LOVE to watch you toddling around everywhere.  I could just watch you all day long.

Your smile is ridiculous.  You are so friendly and outgoing with people.  I have really noticed lately that you will let anyone hold you and will often even snuggle on their shoulder.   It’s so sweet and you get a lot of attention because of your friendliness and adorable smile.

You are no doubt the "baby of our family" and Ella and Easton are absolutely just as crazy about you as Daddy and I are.  You get so much attention from them and probably will for the rest of your life!  I love the way they love you.  You could not have been a bigger blessing or joy to our family Asher.  Ella says on MULTIPLE occasions that she is so happy that we have a baby in our family and that she is so happy that you were a BOY.  It's funny because she thought she really wanted a sister but she sees how much she loves YOU exactly how you are and for that reason she would not want anything different.

We ALL love you so much Asher!!!
