SPR Cleaning day

As Michael was finalizing his office expansion and needed to prepare for his employees coming back to work on Monday, it was a family affair on Sunday with the 5 of us, his sister Keri as well as both of his parents at the office, pitching in, cleaning and setting things up.  We all loved being there and felt so proud of Michael.

Keri and I purged, cleaned and organized the breakroom, his mom vacuumed the entire office, and Michael and his dad moved around doing tackling all the things.   I love all the new touches and fun things around the office.  I can't wait to go back to see the moss wall installed, the new pool table and more!

The kids had a blast with scooter races, playing "office", and just running around that they were begging to stay when I told them it was time to leave after 6 hours there.

Upwards Basketball - First Game

It's hard to believe this is Easton's 4TH Season playing basketball!!  He was just a mere 4.5 years old when he started.  Today was his first game for the season, after only 1 practice, and he rocked it!  It's so fun to see the progression year after year.  I found this photo from his first ever game and it brought back lots of memories from January 2015 when he was brand new to the game.

Today he played so hard! The game started with him rebounding the ball, dribbling down the court and scoring!  It was such a great start to get him hyped up and engaged from the get go.  Overall, he played great defense, had tons of rebounds, lot of shots and hustled every time he was in.  He scored a total of 8 points and had a great first game.  We are excited about his team and coach this season!

Catch - Shoot - Score!

Ice Day in San Antonio!

Tuesday, January 16

We had ice in San Antonio and the whole city shut down!  We relished in our free day by staying in our pajamas all day, watching 4 hours of survivor to finally finish the season and playing lots of games.  We spent lots of time on the couch and someone was constantly in my lap or snuggled right next to me.  It was a fun day!

Saturday Family Fun Day

Saturday Family Fun Day
January 13, 2018

Love days like this when there isn't anything set in stone on the calendar and we have a day to do what we want as a family!

A few weeks ago, Easton expressed wanting to try baseball, so first thing Saturday morning, we registered him for McAllister baseball to start this Spring!  Michael was giddy with excitement, and Ella pointed out that his name is already all over everything, so we won't have to monogram or put his name on anything.  LOL

4 out of 5 of us got new bikes for Christmas from Santa and I have been so excited for our first family bike ride!  This is my first time owning a bike in my adult life.  The trails at McAllister park were perfect so that I didn't have to worry about cars if we got separated a bit.

A pit stop along the trail at the playground.

The SPR office is in the middle of an expansion and Michael just moved into his new office, so after our bike ride, we all went up to his office to help him unpack and purge!

^^the kids loved being in his office for the afternoon.^^

^^organizing and sorting office supplies was the perfect job for Ella!^^

^^Deciding who was going to be the boss.^^

Proud of Michael for the vision he has brought into the firm and that he has fully followed through with the implementation of some great changes.   I had the honor of sitting in with his partner and employees recently during a feedback sort of meeting and was so proud to hear the words they used to describe Michael not only as a boss but as a person. I can't say I was surprised by anything that was said but I still left there feeling exceptionally proud and extra grateful to have him as my husband.  He truly is growing family legacies and making an impact on our future workforce.  Not only is he is extremely smart and technical but he's amazing with his people too.

We left his office just in time to head straight to church and dinner after with Granny and Grandpa was the perfect way to end a great day.
