Ella's fun things in 2014

• "Easton, do you know your back hurts when you have a baby? And you have to feed them with your boobies." age 6
• Lost her second tooth (top left) - May 27
• Surprised her with a trip to DISNEY WORLD for her birthday - age 6
• Scored her first TWO goals at her soccer game. Absolutely LOVES soccer. - May 2014
• Lost her first tooth (top right) - April 19, just before turning 6. 
• Tonight after I had already tucked her into bed and said goodnight, Ella raced out of her room to tell me she had her first loose tooth. She was SO sweet and excited about it. She called Daddy to tell him and could not stop wiggling it! - March 27, 2014
• Had one of her Kinder art pieces chose for the Young Masters Art Show and she was so proud - March 2014
• Playing soccer at the JCC with Addie Brown and Coach Uncle Blake (Her first team sport) - Spring 2014
• Starting to read Spanish books - Jan 2014

Easton's 2014 Milestones & Memories

Easton's fun things in 2014

• Doing great with his chores over the past couple of months - feeding jake every single morning, keeping his room clean, and making his bed every single day on his own. - Oct. 2014
• Suddenly showing a huge jump in his independence when it comes to things like brushing his own teeth, buckling and unbuckling his carseat and wiping his own bottom. He can also shower completely on his own. - October 2014 age 4 1/2 
• Can write his name unassisted - Sept 2014, 4 years, 5 months
• Just started showing an interest in coloring and concentrates hard to stay in the lines. He is able to write the letter E but he holds the pencil very lightly and struggles to write at this point - Feb 2014
• "Mommy, I learned it up!" (Meaning I made it up) - Feb 2014
• Easton first time to go with Daddy for a round of golf - Jan 2014

Asher's 2014 Milestones and Memories (age 9 months - 1.5 years)

Asher's Milestones and Memories - age 9 months - 1 1/2 years old

Using fork with left hand, loves to climb and the hardest thing right now is keeping him off of the breakfast table! – 17 months

Points at everything he wants - 13 months

Understands lots of simple commands. "Let's go bye bye" and he walks to the door. "Let's go night night" and he walks to his room, "Where's your milk?" and he goes to get it, etc. - 12.5 months

Says "jakey" really clearly and started saying "momma" - 12.5 months

Goes from sitting to standing without holding on to anything and now walks almost 100% of the time - 11.5 months

Walking the majority of the time! not yet standing up on his own in the middle of the room but regularly pulls himself to something and then walks all over from there. Crawls after he falls and then pulls himself back up first chance he gets. Walking great all the way across a room and into another - 11 months

Started walking even more...turning around and keeping his balance - 10.5 months

Walking proactivity on his own without us asking him...taking up to 15 steps - 10 months - March 2014

Took several small steps (about 10) even keeping his balance after almost falling. – February 2014

Started walking holding just one of my hands. Love it and laughing like crazy while doing it. Same night took a tiny little step 2-3 times and then took 2 tiny steps at once. - 9 months 3 weeks (February 2014)

Standing and balancing on his own for up to 45 seconds - 9.5 months (February 2014) 

Walking while pushing anything...his walker, a stool, toy, etc. And when holding 2 hands but he quickly stops if you let go of one of his hands - 9.5 months

says "uh uh" for "uh oh" - 9 months

Holding his sippy cup of water, eating almost all the same foods as us and doing GREAT at finger foods - 8.5 months

Lowered his crib all the way - 8.5 months (January 2014)

saying and signing "all done" after eating - 8.5 months

Tries more than he can handle and falls a lot when trying to move between 2 different pieces of furniture - 8.5 months

Cruising everywhere around all furniture - 8.5 months

More gingerbread houses!

Michael has a sweet client that made real gingerbread houses for each of our kids and she even sent along the icing and candy!  Having just made some small ones the day before, they were pros this time around and we were so impressed with Easton's focus and precision when decorating his house.  Asher surely ate enough candy for all of us!

The best part was spending time together and the fact that they ended up staying all day to play and hang out!!!

Basketball

Easton starts his first season of basketball in January, so we've all been brushing up on our basketball skills!

The kids and I were playing golf and being silly outside after school when Daddy surprised us and came home early.  They were having so much fun with golf we decided to jump in the car and go play putt putt, followed by dinner at Chuy's of course!

I had already told Michael I wasn't in the mood to do anything that night, but so often these impromptu nights are the funnest!!

Slattery | Perkins Christmas Party

Michael and I hosted the 2nd annual Slattery | Perkins Christmas party at our house this past weekend and we had a blast!  Michael is always sure to keep it fun and every time I hang out with these people I'm reminded how awesome everyone is and how lucky he is to have such an amazing team!  

With lots of music, dance parties, gift exchanges, games, drinks, yummy homemade food and more, our guests didn't leave til 2am and it was the perfect party!

Breakfast with Santa

We had so much fun last year when we hosted breakfast with Santa that the four of us (Me, Megan, Alison and Regan) decided to make it an annual tradition for our families.  This year Megan B hosted and again the kids had a blast.  Megan had several fun games set up while we waited for Santa to arrive.

My kids were happy to sit with Santa but were shy to talk with him, so they all said they wanted legos, but forgot about anything else on their list!
