November 1 - The first weekend in November we were at the lake and enjoyed time with friends, wakeboarding and a fun neighborhood election party. Unfortunately, with so many other things going on, this was the only weekend in November that we made it out to the lake! We are missing it!!
November 3 - On Tuesday the kids did not have school due to the big Election, so we went back to the lake to enjoy a day off and attend the neighborhood Election Party. We would also be hearing that night if the vote to repair the McQueeney dam would pass, which is obviously HUGE for all of us here with houses on the lake. Good news, IT PASSED!!!
November 6 - Now that Ella is no longer committed to soccer, she has time to try some new things...first up, a ninja warrior class! She learned that if she wants to go back, she can join the "competition class" where they will do circuits all class long.
November 9 - Ella had mentioned that she wanted to try Pole Vaulting so we found an incredible coach outside of San Antonio that has a facility where Ella can take lessons and get introduced to this new sport. The best part is that she isn't committed to a set schedule of training, she can go as often or as little as she wants. She started with a 2-hour private lesson and has since attended 2 other group lessons, shooting for about once a week. It turns out, one of the coaches at the gym is an Olympian who performed at Rio and is currently training for Tokyo Olympics. So inspiring and cool!!
Also this month, it was time to say goodbye to our beloved Land Cruiser and trade it in for something a little bigger as the kids keep getting bigger! I'm looking forward to bucket seats and the extra space of a Yukon but have loved my car for the past 7 years and will miss it!
Ella and Sloane being silly and always having fun!
Fun with the neighbors!
This month, Easton joined Uplifted Performance with Coach Rico, twice a week. It's been incredible so far. It's a christian based training facility, right next to our house, where he is in a class with other 10-12 year old boys. I can already see that not only will this help him physically, but with his confidence as well. He is enjoying each class and it was an added bonus when he showed up the first day, expecting not to know anyone, but one of his best friends from school happen to be there as well!
November 18 - We started a remodel project! We are expanding our powder bath to add an exterior door and making it an actual "Pool Bath" and also completely updating the laundry room across the hall.
November 20 - Michael maxed out his plank one night at home and lasted for 6 minutes, 38 seconds!!!
That motivated Asher to do the same and he lasted for 3 full minutes!
Speaking of goals, on Thanksgiving day I reached my goal of getting 1 unassisted pull-up by the end of the year. The best part is that the kids were all there cheering me on and they were SO proud, knowing it was something I've been working hard for.
Ella has been obsessed with her Ripstick, riding it constantly, even in the rain!
