I was afraid she might be a little upset when she saw what a mess he made in her room, but instead she just sat down and joined him with one of her books!

At that age...
Easton is at the age where he just wants to pull everything off of the shelf! Ella's room is ideal because she has a big book shelf, so he will stand in there and pull each book off and onto the floor, one by one!

a FULL Memorial Day Weekend!
We spent several hours in the pool over a couple of days....
Ella was jumping in and then swimming underwater back and forth to Michael or I and the steps. She was doing so well! We still need to work on her kicking as she would mostly rely on gliding to either destination but we were so proud of her for staying submerged under water and loving it!
She too was so proud of herself!

Thanks Aunt Kim and family for letting us enjoy so many fun hours with you guys at the amazing pool this weekend!
We spent one morning at the Guadalupe River State Park. The water was down from last year, but it was perfect for the kids since there was almost no current.
Easton would not stop trying to eat the rocks until Michael taught him to instead put the rocks inside a bucket. It worked wonders!

After the river, Michael and I got out by ourselves for a fun Memorial Day Party.
And this morning we had a little bit of downtime to play in our backyard at home...
Sharing some fresh pineapple!
In the first pictures of this blog you may have noticed something different about Easton's hair??? I had a weak moment today and agreed to let Michael shave Easton's head!!! At the time I was thinking that I have not had time to get him a much needed haircut and since I was thinking of getting it cut short anyway, Michael convinced me that he would use the longest guard!

Only one tear was shed as I watched all of his hair fall to the ground. We didn't realize how much he had until it was all gone and in his lap! It is much shorter than I had hoped, but it's cute and I know it will grow fast!! It's been less than a day though and I already miss his sweet hair! I just consider it his summer cut!
It was really great to be home this weekend spending time as a family and also getting to see our extended family....Granny, Grandpa, Aunts, Uncles and all of Ella and Easton's cousins who live right here in the same city, but yet we never see them often enough! It was extra special to get to spend Memorial Day with our Lawrence who we love dearly and could never thank enough for serving our Country. We love you Lawrence...THANK YOU!
