The kids' garage

We are so thankful to have a 3-car garage and don't know what we would do without it!  When I drive in sometimes I just laugh at the insane amount of kids stuff we have in there, but we are outside so much and the kids use ALL of these things regularly so I'm happy to have it all and encourage them to be outside breathing in that beautiful fresh air!  The kids can easily play with all of their things while both of our cars are parked comfortably in the garage.

We installed elfa soon after we moved in 3 years ago and a few weeks ago I took the time to label everything so that I wasn't the only one who knew where everything goes!  If things are organized, the kids can find what they are looking for and play with it all much more!

The phase of all of these outside kid toys will be gone one day and I know I will miss pulling into the garage to see it each day.  The kids spend SO much time right here in our garage and out in the driveway.  It's hard to believe that one day these elfa shelves may be pulled down to make room for a   third car parked next to mine!!  This phase is definitely something worth documenting and something I want to remember!!!

Fun with the Browns

We recently had a fun day with Addie at our house all day and ended it with an even more fun evening with the whole family back at our house for dinner and playing.  The girls played hard all day long!

Asher and Delaney are starting to interact more and on this night we finally got our first photo of a kiss!  Asher just kept going back in for more and Delaney was being so funny...giving him kisses but then really smiling and being a little shy about it.  Finally, she had to tell him "no more"!

Young Chefs Academy

This year we carried on our annual tradition of putting a groupon in each of the kids' stockings for the young chefs academy and attending a cooking class with some of our closest friends.  This was Easton's first year to attend the class!

All three belong to ME!

Sometimes it's hard to believe that they are all MINE!
Three perfectly imperfect little people.

New Years Eve

To celebrate on New Years Eve we had some great friends come over and decided to go all out with an incredible steak dinner followed by game night.  With six kids between us, it was the perfect way to spend our evening.  It was really low-key and tons of fun.  Thank you Sutherlands for ringing in the New Year with us!!!

Roller skates and bikes

12.29.2014

The days after Christmas are always so much fun because the kids are getting to play with and use all of their new things.  Two of the big hits this year were Ella's roller skates and Easton's big bike.

Ella has ice skated once before but this was her first time on roller skates.  She was pretty shaky at first and fell a ton of times, but I was so proud of her for keeping a HUGE smile on her face the entire time and jumping right back up to keep going each and every time.  Never once getting upset.  After this one day of roller skating, Michael switched her 2 in 1 roller skates into roller blades and she has done even better on those!  Her and Michael had a daddy/daughter date at the ice skating rink and then came home to to practice roller blading more and since then she has completely taken off and done amazingly well.

Meanwhile, Easton was practicing on his new bike.  He learned to ride a few months ago, but his bike was too small and he wasn't enjoying it.  With his new bigger bike, he is LOVING it.  He isn't quite tall enough to stand up and straddle his bike so Michael taught him to get started by using it like a scooter and it's worked perfect.  Just like Ella, he never had training wheels and we can see how his balance bike really paid off.
