my new favorite place.

Ella's latest thing is that she LOVES hiding behind the big brown chair in her bedroom. She is so quick, and loves to run and hide when we are trying to get her PJs on! I have never heard her laugh so hard and so loud as she does when we sneak up and get her from either side of the chair. It's the best when Mike and I can tag-team and get her from both sides. She's hilarious and the last 15-20 minutes before bed is the best! She also likes to just hang out back there and be as quiet as she thinking that we won't find her!

This morning was a typical weekend morning...Ella woke up around 7:30am and just played in her crib for a while. After I woke up and watched her on the monitor for a bit, I went up to get her. When I went to pick her up out of her crib, I saw that she had lined up all of her pacifiers in a perfect row in the very back corner of her crib. All of them except for the last one that was still in her mouth! It's so funny to see these traits of her personality already coming out at just 14 months.

Port Aransas

We just got back from a long weekend in Port Aransas at Port Royal! We had a blast with best friends, beach time and the pool! We were able to get a Yukon for the weekend and we all loaded up in the car for a road trip!

One of our best days was the afternoon that we spent at the beach and then came back to the pool for the entire evening. The guys went down the huge slide and then we made our way down the entire lengh of the pool, several fountain water falls, and meeting people along the way. And for a great ending, we ordered pizza by the pool. It was a long day and the kids were PERFECT! They were in great moods and all seven of us were having an AWESOME time!





Best Friends Forever...they played so well together this weekend and got so excited each time they would see each other in the mornings and after naptime.

Carter was a big brother to BOTH Addie and Ella over the weekend. I personally loved getting to bond with my God-son and feel like I really got to spend some quality time with cute Carter Brown this weekend.

On our last morning we made it to the beach one more time for some family pictures. Although the kids were tired and it was so hot in our clothes, we got some pretty cute pics that I will cherish forever! Thanks Megan, AKA. my photographer at heart. ;)

Ella loves shoes just like her mommy! Nothing beats her crocs, but mommy's high-heels are pretty cool too! At just 14 months old, she can even walk in them!!

For the 4th my family headed back to the beach for another fun weekend!

the first day was all about the pool....

and all the girls got to break away for a lunch outing...


Then the second day was all about the beach!

this picture below is one of my favorites. Now that Hutson is potty-trained, he is a "big-boy" or "almost a big-boy" as he often says, so now he has taken it upon himself the responsibility of taking care of Ella since she is "still a baby". This weekend he was constantly trying to grab her hand to guide her along. Most of the time, she would promptly pull her hand away, but sometimes she would play along.

It was a long day for Ella and she was exhausted, but she was such a good sport and did manage to sneak in a decent nap on Mimi's shoulder, under the shade of our tent.

After a FULL day at the beach, we all had an amazing time and then came back to the condo to enjoy a nice family dinner and watch fireworks!
