New Years Eve

First off, Go Horns! A bowl game win was a great way to start the night.

But honestly, the best part was having everyone together at our house on New Year’s Eve. It brought me so much joy and gratitude. As the kids get older, I’m realizing just how special these simple nights are—and with 2026 being Ella’s graduation year, it definitely hits with a little extra emotion.

The kids played spades while Dad cooked his amazing filet mignons, followed by more cards, Easton and Alyssa finishing the Stranger Things finale, and fireworks in the cul-de-sac with our neighbors. Ella and Thomas headed back to his house to ring in the New Year with his family—such a sweet way to close out the year.

Michael and I officially declared it at 12am EST (11pm CST), but were still barely awake in bed when the clock struck midnight in San Antonio and Asher came to wish us a Happy New Year! This was my kind of New Years Celebration.

I’m excited for all that’s to come in 2026—so many big things ahead.

Ella will graduate high school and head off to college. The kids are all celebrating major milestone birthdays too: Ella will turn 18...an official adult, Easton will turn 16 and start driving, and Asher will turn 13…a teenager!

I’m already preparing my heart for these big changes. They’re some of the most amazing moments of our lives, but they come with so many mixed emotions too.

The lake is always a good idea!

The day after Christmas we decided to head to the lake and invite my family.  It was such a fun, chill weekend. We even got to run over to Dunlap to drop in our new Waverunners for a spin.  We miss the lake so much and can't wait for McQueeney to be full again!

The weather was amazing and we cooked and ate most meals outside.

Christmas Dinner

The family came over for our annual Italian Christmas dinner and then we laughed the night away playing our recent favorite game....Telestrations for 12 people!  Everyone was in tears from laughing so hard and it was the best!
