New Years Weekend at Mimi and Papa's house

After a few days at home, playing with new toys, we were excited to head to my parents house for New Years and another weekend with family!  The weather was gorgeous so we spent most of the weekend outdoors.  

The older kids went hunting the evening of New Years Eve and then came home for fireworks and smores to ring in the New Year.

Before we left on New Years day, Easton was thrilled to get to shoot a BB gun for the first time!

Christmas at my Sister's

Christmas continued the day after as we drove to Austin to see more family and more COUSINS!!  With the exception of Bailey, there are 3 older ones and 3 younger ones and they all have SO MUCH FUN together!!

After gifts and brunch, we completely enjoyed the beautiful weather and spent all afternoon playing outside.

For so many years it was just the four of us with a single, quiet Christmas celebration in the morning.    I loved and cherished those family days of ours.  Sometimes I feel like I'm still getting used to the multiple celebrations that span several days with such a big family now on both sides.  But, I LOVE the kids having so much family and I wouldn't have it any other way!  The holidays are crazy but fun and full of so much love!

Around 3:00 the family came over for another Christmas and dinner.   I loved spending the evening with family...its easy and relaxing and there was so much love in the room.
