Ella was in the Talent Show for the second year in a row performing with both her friends and her Sonido group.

Sedona, AZ - Day 4: Sunrise, Bell Rock, and Back Home!

Our last day in Sedona, we woke up super early to watch the entire sun rise before packing up and heading out.  

We hadn't had time to check out Bell Rock so we made time for that one last hike on our way to the airport.  This ended up being one of Michael's favorite as he loves climbing and going high.  I loved it too, but didn't want to go quite as high as Michael.  I still enjoyed some gorgeous views and people watching and conversation on that last day.

Such an easy flight and were back home to our babies before dinner!  Such an amazing trip and we are wondering why we let YEARS pass before going away just the two of us.  

We couldn't have done it without Mimi and Papa, Granny and Grandpa and Megan and Blake taking over while we were gone.  The kids were in great hands and didn't miss a beat.

Sedona, AZ - Day 3: West Fork and Dinner at the Hudson

We had done so much on our first full day in Sedona that we were able to be super relaxed the following day, with no real plans other than dinner reservations that night.  I loved getting to sleep in while Michael was up early, pretending to drink coffee with me, waiting for me to wake up. ;)

We packed the ice chest and decided to check out the top rated, West Fork trail, getting to drive up Oak Creek Canyon road, past Slide Rock State Park.  The trail had 13 river crossings and it was absolutely gorgeous. Very different than the trails we had done the previous day.   The sign said it was 3.3 miles one way, however, it felt very very long and someone else on the same exact trail said their watch tracked 4.7 miles one way.  Either way, it was a long hike!

That was all we had time for before it was time to return our jeep and relax before getting ready for dinner.

We had great views and great food at the Hudson. I ordered the Blackened Swordfish and Michael had their famous ribs.
