Easter lunch

We had one final Easter celebration with lunch at Granny & Grandpa's house.

I've always loved the picture below of all the grandkids at Granny & Grandpa's pond taken in September 2009, so I was excited to recreate it with Easton included!

We had another Easter egg hunt too but these eggs were a little harder to find!

Backyard Egg Hunt

Checking out their baskets and anxious to fill them with eggs!!

Ella looked beautiful!

And Easton was so handsome!

After finding lots of eggs and Ella trading some of hers out with Easton's, it was time to relax in the grass and check it all out!

Ever since we have had kids, Easter has fallen BEFORE the end of tax season so this was the first year that Michael got to sit back and really enjoy it with us!

My studly birthday boys!

It meant so much that Mimi & Papa were able to celebrate Easter with us again this year!

Sunday morning.

When we woke up on Sunday we had lots to celebrate!

Easton's 1st birthday, Michael's 31's birthday, and of course Easter!

Wonderfully put by a friend of ours,... it was "Easton Sunday!"

Easton slept in more than usual, and when he finally woke up we all rushed into his room.  I just wanted to sit back and soak it all in for a bit.  Any mom can understand that its a bit emotional when your baby turns one!

As we made our way downstairs, Easton got to see and try out his new backyard slide.  I love how Ella has her hands out to "catch" him!

And a certain "almost-3 year old" was also pretty happy about Easton's birthday gift.  He also had all his gifts from his party the day before that he got to open.  In reality though, I think Ella took care of all the unwrapping!

Easton is turning ONE!

After the decorations were set, we grabbed a quick family picture and were ready for the party to begin!

The birthday boy got a second wind right before the party started and was walking everywhere!

Easton was decked out in blue and orange, and Grandpa didn't even know that he too was coming dressed in the perfect attire for Easton's blue and orange party!

After some playtime and hot dogs, it was time for cake.

Easton loved the attention when everyone sang to him!

And he happily dove right into the icing on the cupcake, then preceded to touch mommy, of course!

He loved it all, but when he was done, he was done!

As the party ended, Michael made sure not to forget our hidden stash of confetti eggs!

And he made sure no one was left out!

I think this last picture of Easton sums up that it was a pretty great party!!!

For all of you that were able to make it, this little one year old thanks you!  He had a great time!!
