After a break of over 2 years, Easton is getting back into golf and signed up for 7 STPGA 9-hole tournaments over the summer. In May he started practicing with Michael at TPC and they are having a great time.
June 16th - Breckenridge Park - He shot a 53 and placed 5th out of 9 boys. His goal was to break 60 and he did it! Best of all, he had fun and really enjoyed the day.
June 21st - River Crossing - He had a rough start to the day but kept it together and shot a 55 coming in at 3rd place out of 3 boys. :) Our entire goal right now is to keep it fun and for Easton to continue developing a love of golf. So that big smile in the photos, right next to his Dad, is the most important thing to me.
June 22 - Windcrest - Today he shot a 54 and got 5th place out of 5 boys. I love that he is choosing to focus on the highlight of his day, which was getting 1 foot away from a hole in one and securing a birdie.
June 28 - Fair Oaks Ranch. He shot a 56 and got 6th place.
July 7 - Northern Hills. He shot a 49 and got 2nd place. It's awesome that he broke 50. This is one day after he had a 1 hour lesson with Greg Hiller at TPC. Greg gave him a major grip change that would have a trickle effect into many areas of his swing and Easton personally noticed the difference today when playing and gave major credit to Greg.
July 20 - Buckhorn Golf Course - Easton shot a 47 (his best) and tied for 3rd place.
July 25 - Fort Sam Houston. We were out of town so Easton's Aunt Keri stepped in and they did great together! Easton shot a 50 and placed 11th out of 16.
Based on his finishes at the tournaments, Easton was invited to play in the STPGA Championship Golf tournament in Houston, TX! So exciting. He won't be able to attend due to scheduling conflicts, but so proud of him. It's been fun watching him get back into golf this summer and we sure hope it continues!!!
