Water slide!

The humongous water slide for the Slattery|Perkins summer party was delivered a day early, so of course, we invited friends over to test it out before our big party the next day!

It lived up to all expectations!!

Possible new sleeping arrangement

July 12, 2015

The following night after Asher had crawled out of his crib several times, I was getting the boys ready for bed and Asher crawled into Easton's bed to play.  Spur of the moment, I asked Asher if he would like to sleep with Easton!?  He laid down immediately in his spot and did not move.  Easton looked at me in shock and thought I was joking.  It was a fun moment to remember.

They both went right to bed at 7:30pm and it was obvious they did not want to mess up their chances with this new arrangement.  It was really sweet.

Easton leaned over to say good night and said to Asher in the sweetest voice, "I can't believe it's already time for you to sleep with me."

The next morning they didn't come out of Easton's room until 7am which is the latest Asher had slept in a long time.

It's now been 2 1/2 weeks and the boys have slept together every single night since.  They are doing awesome.  I have plans to put two twin beds into Easton's room and let them share, however they are doing so great and love sleeping together in one double bed that I'm not in a hurry currently to change anything. Right now they each have their own room and Asher even still naps in his crib but at night time they cuddle up together in Easton's bed.  I've been going in their room regularly to snap a picture at night because it is just way too sweet not to.

Asher crawled out!

Asher was waking up between 12am-1am every single night for almost a week.  Being so tired and without thinking, I would simply grab him and put him in my bed for the night.  After a few days, we decided that could not continue so we checked on him that night when he cried but decided not to take him out of his crib.  He, of course, didn't like that idea, and decided to crawl out of the crib on his own...this was July 8, 2015 at 26.5 months old.  My first out of 3 children to ever crawl out of the crib.  He did it a couple of times that night, but finally fell asleep while I sat in his room with him, still keeping him in the crib.

Each day for a few days he started getting more and more comfortable with getting out.  He was still sleeping okay, but would come into our room at 3am or 5am, just whenever he woke up, he quit calling my name and just crawled out instead.  Michael was making coffee one morning and Asher came walking into the kitchen at 6am, stretching.  The picture in my head just cracks me up!

That following Saturday night, we were putting him to bed later than usual, and he got out of his bed probably 10 times until I finally sat in his room with him and he fell right to sleep.

For a while I was thinking of ways to keep him in, but since he's already 2, I think it's probably just time to move him out of the crib.  *tear*

I wanted to see him in the act, and of course wanted some more pics of him in the crib so I let him do it one afternoon after nap.  He got a sly little smile as he moved to the corner and hiked his leg up.

Such a little stinker, crawled out so effortlessly.  It's no surprise...he's always been our little climber and wildest one for sure!

Tower of the Americas

Michael and I had the pleasure of taking Ella out the other night, just the three of us, to a spot she's been wanting to go to for over a year now...the Tower of the Americas!!  I had never been either and it was such a fun experience.

She loved looking out the window as we went up almost 600 feet into the air.

Our table rotated giving us views of the entire city as we ate our dinner and afterwards we spent a little bit of time up on the observation deck.  It was such a fun experience to share with our Ella Pearl while the boys were home playing with Granny!

TopGolf Family night

Ella and Easton are both learning about golf and have taken a huge interest in it very quickly.  Asher loves it as well!  Michael is in heaven with all of his kids loving golf at the moment and hopefully for years to come!
