January Memories.

 January 10 - We had snow!  It came down hard but wasn't enough to stick.

January 16-17.  One week after snow, we were at the lake in the bright sun and enjoying the water!  You never know what the Texas weather will bring. :)

I've been helping out the Brown's this month by bringing Delaney home from school so she and Asher have had tons of playtime and its been the absolute best!

January 23

The kids have spent so much time jumping on the trampoline, playing basketball and exploring in the creek this month!

The kids have also been obsessed with the Rubik's cubes. Easton and Asher have mastered the 2x2, Ella has mastered the 3x3 and I have completed the 3x3 one time, but certainly haven't mastered it.

January 31

Ella's Middle School Basketball Season - Lopez 7th Grade Girls B Team

Ella enjoyed volleyball but since she was on the GO team, she didn't get as much of an opportunity with games and even practice.  She was really excited for basketball and had a big goal of making at least the B team where she would have daily practices and get to play every game.  My friend Katye worked with her twice and Ella learned fast.  She found out tryout week that she made the B team and she was thrilled!  Her first game was after Thanksgiving break.

 12/3/2020 - Game 1 vs. Bradley at Bradley

Lopez: 42, Bradley: 12 

A great win and best of all, Ella had "so much fun"!!! She played 3 out of 4 quarters, scored one basket and played extremely hard.  She was really proud of herself and how she played.

Coach Heather was there to watch her daughter play and Ella has officially passed up her first soccer coach in height. :)

 12/10/2020 - Game 2 vs. TexHill at Lopez

Lopez: 15, TexHill: 6

After proving herself in the first game, Ella was a starter this game and played the majority of the time. She scored 4 points (1 basket plus 2 free throws), had great defense and lots of fun! The girls are super aggressive and overall doing well. They mostly need to work on the dribbling and shooting. :)

 01/21/2021 - Game vs. Bush at Lopez

Lopez: 12, Bush: 13 - This was the girls' first and only loss. It was so close and they all played so hard.  

 01/28/2021 - Game vs. Harris at Harris

Lopez: 39, Harris: 12

Ella was on fire her last game, scoring 8 points in the first quarter!  She had tons of family in the stands and it was super fun to watch. We are all sad that basketball season is over, it's been a complete blast for us to watch and for Ella to play.  She loved it and it was awesome to see her improvement during the season as well as her drive and desire to play.
