After the new year, we still had an entire week off before school started! It felt so much longer than usual, especially with no trips or vacations planned and we really enjoyed that downtime and soaked in slower days of no homework or after school activities. The kids spent lots of time at different neighbors houses and we did some fun things away from the house too. These are a few snippets of our week!
Thin Air with friends - had so much fun playing dodgeball with the kids!
Time at home and so much going on at this one dining table: art, monopoly game and a 2,000 piece puzzle!
Family dinner at Chuy's
And date night for Michael and I
Dinner and S'mores at the Campfire
Guadalupe River State Park
Football in the front yard
And hard work on our up and coming field!!!
Michael had thrown out the idea of clearing out this area and making it a field. As soon as he mentioned it, it made perfect sense to me because this space wasn't used and had only a few small, ugly trees that I never liked anyway...cedar and weesatche. Because we have SO many amazing oak and elm trees in our front yard, I loved the idea of having an open green space as well. Before I knew it, Michael had chainsawed down all the tress and there was no turning back! He loved having time for the hands on work and we are all super excited. Now its time to turn it over to the professionals and make this a real field!
