"Mommy, I want to play a game on your iPad"...

I love this.

 

The only thing I did to plan for this picture was to throw a blanket in the grass and ask the kids to sit on it for a minute while I tested something.  I didn't even ask for smiles, I was just needed something to focus on.

 

They were still in their pajamas, breakfast on their shirts, and no hair brushed.  But they got on the blanket like I asked and they just started rolling aroung giggling with each other and I captured this sweet moment.  It's funny how anything new, something as simple as a blanket on the grass gets them so excited!

 

Sometimes I do try to get the "perfect" picture, but the unplanned, genuine smile photos are ALWAYS my favorite!

After a morning at the beach.

I took this picture with my iPhone when we were in California.  Easton was taking a hard nap after spending a few hours that morning at the beach and playing hard.  I didn't realize until I downloaded it on my computer just now that he even had sand in the crease of his eye!  I love it even more than I did before.

Such an angel.

Ella Pearl

 Recently, Ella and I got to spend an entire afternoon together, just the 2 of us.  We had the best time...she got a haircut, we had lunch, and then went to watch her first ever movie in a theatre.  We saw Brave and both loved it!  

She is awesome and so much fun to spend the day with!
