August 17 Week 1 Virtual School at Home
Easton is in an advanced math class and learning both 6th and 7th grade concepts in 5th grade. With the virtual learning, Michael has been sitting with him during class to ensure he is fully understanding everything that is being taught so that he has a strong foundation starting out.
Break time!
August 24 - Week 2 Virtual School at Home
Week 3 - Virtual School at Home
Easton LOVES being able to go to his room to play legos or go outside to play when he has breaks. He has enjoyed virtual school and is thriving in this environment.
We have smoothies every single day but with all the kids on zooms across my entire house, I have to shut myself in my closet to use the blender. :) This has been its home for a while now.
Week 4 - Virtual School at Home. Phase 1 started but we were not selected and we were actually happy to continue virtual for now. The kids have their routines and are loving their daily 7am playdates with the neighbors across the street.
Week 5 - Virtual School at Home
Week 6 Virtual School at Home. Easton was offered a spot at school as part of Phase 2 but didn't want to go to Virtual In Person School. I can't blame him so we gave each of the kids the choice. He is the only one that chose to stay home and he is so confident and happy about his decision. He goes outside everyday to scooter during his breaks and wouldn't want it any other way.
October 5 - The next Phase and things are getting more normal at school so Easton was a bit skeptical, but also ready to go back to In-Person School. Now all three kids are back!
The kids never had an issue wearing their masks all day at school. We tried a few and they each have their favorite masks.
October 30 - Red Ribbon Week
Easton's friends are starting to ask if SPR is a clothing line. lol
11/16 - Thank goodness for Dad when it comes to hard math homework.
It's been weird never setting a foot at school this year, but we've all adjusted and the kids still had a great semester. We are excited to make it to the end of 2020 without the schools closing again!
